Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam — 26 March 2026 — Watercloud is pleased to announce the strengthening of its strategic collaboration with Unified National Networks (UNN), Brunei Darussalam’s national digital infrastructure provider. This announcement follows the formal signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Watercloud and UNN on 26 March 2026 in Bandar Seri Begawan, marking a significant milestone in advancing sovereign artificial intelligence (AI), high-performance computing, and next-generation digital services in the region.
Leonard Melvin Fernando, Chief Executive Officer of Watercloud International (Singapore) Pte. Ltd., together with Dr Farzin Ratan Karma, President of Watercloud, are leading this strategic initiative on behalf of Watercloud. On behalf of UNN, the collaboration is being led by Chris Phan, Acting Chief Executive Officer of UNN, together with Mr Heiko Trost, Chief Digital Officer of UNN, reflecting a coordinated leadership commitment to strengthening Brunei’s sovereign digital infrastructure and enabling the deployment of advanced artificial intelligence and high-performance computing capability.
By combining UNN’s secure national telecommunications and data centre infrastructure with Watercloud’s advanced computing and AI ecosystem, the collaboration establishes a powerful and reliable environment designed to support high-density GPU workloads and mission-critical applications. This integrated capability provides organisations with immediate access to scalable compute capacity, supported by robust connectivity, resilient infrastructure, and a secure sovereign operating environment.
At the centre of this initiative is WAFEnity™, Watercloud’s integrated AI infrastructure ecosystem, supported by the WAFEnity Hive™ and WAFEnity Honeycomb™ architecture. Together, these capabilities enable the rapid deployment of high-performance GPU clusters for artificial intelligence training, inference, advanced analytics, and large-scale digital processing workloads.
The collaboration is designed to serve organisations requiring reliable and scalable compute infrastructure, including artificial intelligence developers, enterprise technology providers, financial institutions, research organisations, and global digital service platforms. By providing secure and high-performance computing capability within a sovereign framework, Watercloud and UNN offer a practical and commercially ready solution for organisations seeking dependable infrastructure to support growth and innovation.
Sustainability and environmental responsibility remain central to the design and operation of the infrastructure ecosystem. Through energy-efficient technologies and responsible operational strategies, Watercloud and UNN are advancing digital growth while supporting long-term environmental resilience and national sustainability objectives.
Beyond infrastructure delivery, this collaboration is intended to stimulate economic development and attract high-value digital workloads into Brunei. The availability of scalable GPU capacity and secure connectivity creates new opportunities for artificial intelligence innovation, data-driven industries, and advanced digital services, reinforcing Brunei’s role as a trusted hub for technology deployment in the region.
Together, Watercloud and UNN are establishing a dependable and future-ready digital infrastructure ecosystem that enables organisations to deploy, scale, and operate GPU-intensive workloads with confidence — securely, efficiently, and reliably.
