Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam — 26 March 2026 — Watercloud is pleased to announce the strengthening of its strategic collaboration with Unified National Networks (UNN), Brunei Darussalam’s national digital infrastructure provider. This announcement follows the formal signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Watercloud and UNN on 26 March 2026 in Bandar Seri Begawan, marking a significant milestone in advancing sovereign artificial intelligence (AI), high-performance computing, and next-generation digital services in the region.
Leonard Melvin Fernando, Chief Executive Officer of Watercloud International (Singapore) Pte. Ltd., together with Dr Farzin Ratan Karma, President of Watercloud, are leading this strategic initiative on behalf of Watercloud. On behalf of UNN, the collaboration is being led by Chris Phan, Acting Chief Executive Officer of UNN, together with Mr Heiko Trost, Chief Digital Officer of UNN, reflecting a coordinated leadership commitment to strengthening Brunei’s sovereign digital infrastructure and enabling the deployment of advanced artificial intelligence and high-performance computing capability.
By combining UNN’s secure national telecommunications and data centre infrastructure with Watercloud’s advanced computing and AI ecosystem, the collaboration establishes a powerful and reliable environment designed to support high-density GPU workloads and mission-critical applications. This integrated capability provides organisations with immediate access to scalable compute capacity, supported by robust connectivity, resilient infrastructure, and a secure sovereign operating environment.
